September 1-20, 2020

Marin Open Studios will be spotlighting the art of our 2020 artists in a themed series of online shows. Juried only for subject matter, these shows are a fun way for artists and patrons to easily browse a rotating selection of art. Participation is free and awards are offered. Entries are chosen from existing Marin Open Studio artist pages. Now is a great time to update your artist page!

JURY/AWARDS: The show is ONLY juried for subject matter. In this show, a portrait, figure, figure in landscape, abstract figure or similar interpretation of “The Human Spirit” will qualify. In addition, Chester Arnold will be awarding First, Second, Third and 2 Honorable Mentions. The First Place winner will receive special marketing opportunities!

REQUIREMENTS: Open to all 2020 Marin Open Studio artists. Any medium accepted.

FEES and ENTRY PROCEDURES: No entry fee. Work will be selected from the top image on each artist’s Marin Open Studios image collection, which is the position normally reserved for the guide image. To increase your chance for entry, place your interpretation of “The Human Spirit” in the top position of your Marin Open Studios gallery page. Already have a figure/portrait in that first position? Then no action is needed – your work is already entered. To offer your work for sale, fill in the “price” box for your image, and mention the size of the piece in the description field. The deadline for updating your Marin Open Studios gallery image is August 5, 2020.
